Habitat for Humanity of Defiance County's ReStore is now open. We sell quality used and surplus building materials that are donated from various sources and we sell the materials at a fraction of normal prices. Proceeds help fund construction of Habitat homes.

The Northwest Ohio ReStore outlet is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 am to 5 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm. It is located at 919 Grove St. in Defiance Ohio and is open to the public.

Ohio Drop Off

We are now a collection point for Ohio Drop Off. Some of the items that can be dropped off for recycling are computers, servers, monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers, printers / faxes, copiers all sizes, scanners, cameras, camcorders, cell phones, video game systems, video games, DVD players, CD and DVD media, floppy disks, all phone equipment and more.

What is a Habitat ReStore?

A ReStore is a retail business which sells new and gently-used home building materials at affordable prices. The Northwest Ohio ReStore performs a valuable community service by diverting large amounts of reusable materials from landfills and providing these products to customers at generously-discounted costs.

 

Is the ReStore  open to the public?

Yes! Anyone and everyone is welcome to shop at the ReStore. We are located at 919 Grove Street in Defiance, Ohio, and open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 am to 5 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm, Store phone: (419) 785-4456
 

What does the ReStore sell?

Sales items may consist of, but are not limited to: home appliances, cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, carpet and padding, lumber, tools, windows, doors, various household items, and assorted furniture.

 

Where do the proceeds from the sales go?

Proceeds earned from ReStore sales support the mission of the various Habitat For Humanity organizations in northwest Ohio, helping fund the construction of new Habitat houses within the local community.

 

Where do items come from?

All merchandise is provided by donations from contractors, suppliers, individuals and organizations.

 

How do I go about donating an item?

Whether you are an individual or a business, we are appreciative of all contributions. If you have a donation that you’d like to make to the ReStore, call please contact Northwest Ohio ReStore at (419) 785-4456 to schedule a drop-off time. Also, for very large items (such as stoves, washing machines, or refrigerators), pick-ups can be arranged. Please call in advance!

 

Is there anything else that I can do to help?

Absolutely! We are always  in need of donations of sellable merchandise with which to stock our shelves. Your donations are tax-deductible! Keep us in mind when you're cleaning out your house, moving, or simply tell your friends, family, and coworkers. We are also in search of volunteers to help with daily operations of the ReStore. Of course, the simplest way to support the Northwest Ohio ReStore is to shop with us!
