The Mothers and More group of Defiance has been assisting HFHDC with painting all the trim for the Habitat house, in a garage donated by one of their members.

 

The group has used this as one of their projects to get to know each other better with a fun project. They are helping Scarlett Westcott, a single mother, and the partner family owner for this home. 

 

Your group can help out in many different ways too!  If Saturday ( the Habitat regular work site day) is not a good day for you or your group, there are many creative ways to assist in building this, or future, Habitat homes.  Just like the Mothers and More they found a creative way to get a few members together at time that is convenient for them, have some coffee, and do a little painting at one of their member's home.

Time-Warner Employee's John Ellingson and Terri Moore donate a Saturday to build the back porch and steps for our partner family.

 

Another crew of  Time-Warner employees are scheduled to donate their time this weekend to assist with the interior painting starting at 8:00 AM Saturday Nov. 8th.

 

You can join them TOO for a great free lunch and a chance to "give a hand up, not a hand out" as we assist Scarlett Westcott's deserving family with their own Habitat home.
